The 22-year-old is set to complete a loan move to Lobi Stars ahead of the 2016 Nigeria Professional Football League season
Solomon Kwambe has revealed that he is in advanced talks with Nigeria
Professional Football League side Lobi Stars regarding a contract ahead
of the new season.
The Makurdi - based club are thrashing out terms of a loan deal with
Sunshine Stars for the Super Eagles defender’s services, having failed
to meet their asking price for a permanent deal.
“I am currently with Lobi Stars of Makurdi, I have not signed but I am about to sign,” Kwambe said to Goal.
“What I am looking at will be a loan deal because Lobi Stars have not got my clearance yet from Sunshine Stars.”
Champions Enyimba were also interested in signing the right-back, but he decided to pitch his tent with his hometown club.
The 22-year-old started off his career with grassroots team Mighty
Junior then sealed a move to Sunshine Stars after a spell with Plateau
United.
Kwambe was sidelined by an adductor muscle tear injury towards the
end of the 2015 season while at Warri Wolves but is now in tip-top
condition and ready for the resumption of the league.
