BSU students jostling for water
Benue State University students are enduring untold hardship due to the
lack of power and water supply which has adversely affected their
preparations for the ongoing second semester examinations.
It is reported that students jostle on long queues every morning while others go as far as the River Benue, in search of water.
Speaking with liambeevisionz.blogspot.com, the Students Union Director of Welfare,
Comrede Gbaah Thaddeus expressed displeasure over long distances
students cover in search of water for domestic use, adding that most
students go for exams without even taking their baths.
One tanker for each of first and second campuses not enough
He therefore urged the school authority to improve on the water
supply as the current arrangement of having one tanker each for the
first and second campuses was grossly inadequate.
Comrade Gbaah also complained of the lack of adequate power supply during this period and bulbs in the classrooms which has also been a major setback in their exams preparations.
